Michael Jackson Tribute?

Filed under: Sports — Paul @ 11:16 am

The Canadian Football League had a touchdown the other day which included a tribute to the late Michael Jackson. Arland Bruce scored the touchdown and then took off his helmet and jersey and laid down in the endzone. He said that it was a tribute to the pop star because he was pretending to be buried. But it seems a little bit far afield to be a real tribute. Perhaps if he did the moonwalk as his celebration, that might have been more fitting. Or a hip dance move. At least those wouldn’t be judged by most people as being in poor taste. Pretending to be dead tends to be a low-brow humor kind of thing to do. The CFL is investigating and deciding whether he might be fined; the coach said that he has talked to Bruce to clarify.
