Silvestre a hot prospect in EPL

Mikael Silvestre is running hot in news in EPL right now. He is being chased by a host of teams like Portsmouth, Manchester City and Aston Villa. English football giant Arsenal has come in the queue as well because they are desperately looking for a replacement of the injured Gael Clichy. Silvestre who plays for Manchester United has never been the first squad choice for manager Alex Ferguson because of the like of Patrice Evra and Nemanja Vidic coming into the frame recently. Silveste is famous for showing some spirts of excellence but is also notorious for his frequent losses in focus. The Frenchmen has 40 international caps and has now become a hot prospect in the transfer market.

Rams a closer pack, Jackson absent

After a disastrous season last year, the St. Louis Rams decide to hold their training camp for the upcoming season at the beautiful setting of Wisconsin. The players and coach are confident that the training camp has united the team and instilled confidence in them.  The Rams did lose the preseason opener against Tennessee but the coach is confident that the team can bounce back from it. The team doesn’t have many injury problems except for Justin King who will miss the season due to a torn cartilage. However running back Steven Jackson has been missing from the camp due to a contract dispute which has already cost him $302,320 in fines.

Rays Evan Longoria placed on a 15 day disabled list

The rookie All Star third baseman of the Tampa Bay Rays, Evan Longoria, is placed on 15 day disabled list due to a broken right wrist. The Rays are currently at the leaders’ position in the Al East and the team management is hoping that the injury to the key players will not keep the spirits down and expects the incoming rookie hitters to carry on from where the seniors have left. The Rays will also have to bring in their injured players into their team sooner than later as the sports leading teams, like Red Sox and Yankees are not far behind them. The ticket sales for this MLB season have been going on at a brisk pace.

Josh Hamilton leaves in the middle of the game due to dizziness

The prolific Texas Rangers center fielder Josh Hamilton could not bear the scorching summer temperature last Friday night and had to leave in the middle of the sixth innings of the game against the Toronto Blue Jays die to dizziness. Hamilton was in good knock when this incident happened and had scored the 26th homer of his career in the fourth inning. His MLB career’s RBI total stands at 106 and two of the runs were scored in this game. The game temperature was about 100 degrees and Hamilton’s place in the center field was taken over by Marlon Byrd. The fans who had bought tickets to the next Rangers game are hoping that Hamilton recovers in time for the game.

Evans signed by Hawks for a three year deal

The Atlanta Hawks are on a signing spree and the latest addition to their basketball team is the super star player of the Orlando magic team Maurice Evans. The deal between Evans and the Hawks was carried out last Tuesday and the Hawks are very much excited about the prospect of seeing Evans play for their team in the upcoming season. Moreover, Evans will provide the Hawks team with the much needed boost in the offensive side and his three point shooting ability is known to one and all associated with basketball. Maurice Evans is slated to have signed a 3 year deal with the hawks for about $7.5 million. Hawks fans are booking their tickets well in advance to avoid last minute problems.
